Great quality, it’s almost as comfortable as my regular bed! Easy to inflate it just minutes and compresses down to about the size of a roll of paper towel which is a lot easier to do with the provided elastic strap

We designed our Insulated Sleeping Mat PLUS (R6) for camping in cold, wintery weather. This winter sleeping mat has been third party tested and received an ASTM F3340-18 R-value of 6.2, making it suitable for cold to very cold conditions.
With an R-value of 6.2, most individuals will be comfortable using the Insulated Sleeping Mat in temperatures down to around -10ºC, although it is important to consider other factors that impact your warmth, such as weather conditions, what other sources of warmth and insulation you’ll be using with it, and how sensitive you are to the cold.

Keeping your sleeping mat clean and stored correctly will help keep it performing as its best for years to come.
Here’s how to clean your sleeping mat:
- Inflate the mat and close the valve fully to prevent water from getting inside the mat.
- Use a suitable outdoor gear wash and a soft cloth or sponge to clean the entire surface.
- Rinse off the mat with lukewarm water until there is no soapy residue remaining.
- Towel off excess water and place your mat on a drying rack in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
- Ensure your sleeping mat is completely dry before putting it into storage.
For long-term storage, we recommend leaving your sleeping mat unrolled and loosely inflated with the valve open in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Used the mat in our newly acquired trailer sailer. It fits perfectly and made for a very comfortable night. Highly recommend.
I had two of these mattresses with defects. The first one had a slow leak and the 2nd had a leak that caused it to deflate in 30 mins on a cold night leaving me sleeping on the floor!! The warranty and refunds are well handled but if you want a pad that you can rely on I can’t recommend this one. Spend the extra $100 elsewhere
Love the product but was disappointed that the staff helping me didn’t remind me that I should buy the inflating bag as it’s sold separately. I was used to other brands that include it with the mat.
Purchased recently and used on overnight trip. Surprisingly comfortable and warm. Like the compactness and lightweight. Good job Alton . Eddie 👍😎

Bought two mats. After one use both deflated in dangerously cold conditions. Sent back to Alton (who responded promptly and have good customer service!) one had some scuff mark and the other a manufacturing defect. Will see if the repair is successful but to have two mats fail on a single night has not left us feeling confident about the product. Have just received both the scuffed one and the replacement mat back and repaired the scuff. We now use our old mats which seem to be more reliable (many backcountry trips sleeping on these without issue) and have never let us down (though do tend to be cold when below zero…. Of course…). Hard to recommend mats that scuff on one use (never had this happen before) and have a manufacturing issue that prevents it from holding air for more than 10minutes! Check your mats before going on a trip! Past performance is not always indicative of future performance…

Very comfortable! I’m a side sleeper and I slept well every night I slept on this mat. Packs down small, is lightweight and is easy and quick to inflate. I used it on the Overland hike in Tassie for a week and it was fantastic. It was also not as loud and crinkly as a lot of other sleeping mats on the market, which I may not have discovered if not for sharing tents/huts with people using other mats. So that’s an added bonus!
So comfortable The day it arrived I took it to Sandy cape for a camping trip. I never usually sleep properly in my tent but I slept all night. Not crunchy like some can be and it actually didn’t have much noise at all. Highly recommend
The mat is fantastic and very easy to blow up using the bag pump.
Works great. Didnt feel any cold through the mattress. Very comfy and the large fitted sheet still fits well enough. This will be perfect for my UK hike next year
I was recently gifted this amazing sleeping mat and couldn't be more happy with it. Used for the first time on a recent hike and was incredibly comfortable, even with the temperature dropping to -4degC overnight. The pump bag comes in very handy in keeping weight down and really doesn't take long to inflate the mat. The mat was nice and quiet unlike some of the competitor mats, and had a quality, well-built construction with comfortable pattern. I really appreciate how easy and small it packs down and the storage bag is perfectly sized to be able to fit the pump bag too. Love the little pocket in the storage bag containing the patch kit! Well thought out, well made, performs really well and a great Aussie brand! Well done Alton!
