Our Ultralight Top Quilt is filled with 850FP DownTek™ PFC-Free Water Repellent Down. Utilising bluesign® approved chemistry that’s 100% free from all PFCs, DownTek™ PFC-Free Water Repellent Down delivers industry-leading performance, proven to stay dry for over 10 times longer than untreated down alternatives. For the outer shell, we’ve opted for a durable ripstop nylon with a C0 DWR coating that is free from PFCs and other toxic fluorinated chemistry. As a result, you can rely on your Ultralight Top Quilt to provide exceptional performance and warmth, even in wet, high-humidity conditions where down would traditionally struggle.
Our Ultralight Top Quilt provides excellent thermal efficiency and comfort, while being significantly lighter and more compact than a sleeping bag with an equivalent warmth rating. To accomplish this, every detail of the Ultralight Top Quilt has been carefully developed to ensure maximum warmth and mitigate heat loss in critical areas. It features differentially-cut baffles, which ensure the down fill remains at full loft and reduces down migration over time, helping to prevent cold spots from forming. We’ve also incorporated the thick, warmth-sealing draft collars positioned along each edge of the quilt to trap in the warmth. The included Quilt Straps secure the Top Quilt to your sleeping mat, holding it in place throughout the night.
One of the biggest advantages of the Ultralight Top Quilt is the flexibility it gives you when it comes to how you sleep. Unlike sleeping bags, which some campers can find too restrictive, the Ultralight Top Quilt allows you to sleep exactly how you like, whether that’s sprawled out, tucked in, or somewhere in between. In warm conditions, the Ultralight Top Quilt can be used open like a blanket, so you’re less likely to overheat during the night. Toasty warm down to -2C. Highly recommend it packs down small and is a seriously high quality piece of kit. ONLY problem is that it is HEAVY in comparison to some other ultralight quilts on the market. Other than that it was a comfy sleep and an easy pack. Highly recommend (unless you are going for a TRUE “ultralight”)
Excellent quality! I camped up in the Strathbogie ranges with this by lake Nillahcootie and it kept me nice and toasty in my swag overnight. It is surprisingly light and durable, compressing down to about the size of a roll of paper towel.
So light and toasty its ridiculous. Havent taken it Bush yet but can already tell from front yarders combined with my Alton goods underquilt in my Tiergear hammock I am in luxury mode. Cheers guys top shelf products

I am 5'7 and I am a cold sleeper and I get claustrophobia in sleeping bags so I have had the -10 quilt for over a year now on many trips and it is absolutely superb. It packs down so small and is really hard to beat. I have had small feathers pop out from time to time and they often self heal, if not I just put on some tenacious tape to control it, photos attached. It has been really cold humid and damp this particular night and woke up with so much condensation all over the quilt and it dried up so quickly when the sun came out. I really love the space in this quilt for every season. Thanks Alton!
Love the quilt. So puffy and comfortable, much less constricting than a sleeping bag. Works well with the Alton sleeping pad, especially if you have the fitted sheet as well. It packs small, works well, looks, great, and gives me the best sleep I've had outdoors. But I'll hardly get the chance to take it out, I can't separate it from the missus.
I bought the zero degree quilt a year ago and loved it so I decided to get the -10 quilt for the cold winter camps. I toss, turn and switch sides throughout the night so this is definitely a game changer for me and I don't see myself using a sleeping bag again any time soon. I do think the quilts sleep a little colder than their ratings however they are high quality and I'd still highly recommend them.
Spent 2 nights in Pretty Valley, Alpine National Park. Wet and 5 deg cold, swag under my Alton Tarp and the Quilt was brilliant, space to move and light weight, perfect! 🍻

have had no regrets switching from a restrictive mummy sleeping bag to this quilt. -5 is enough to cover my seasons in the outdoors and the extra room means heaps of space to stretch out while still trapping warmth, with or without the mat straps. Works incredibly well with the full hammock setup too. This quilt is bomb!
I'm a Quilt Convert. I had my doubts but just one night's use of the Alton Quilt (-5C) and I'm hooked. So compact, but very warm and comfortable, and feels roomier than even my biggest sleeping bag. The clip system for my Alton Ultralight mat works really well after a little practice, and the neck clip was secure all night. It is my first down quilt so I was skeptical about the water repellent properties, and concerned I'd wake up cold and soaked. Nope! As you can see from the photo, the dew that rolled in under my car's awning sat on top and was disposed of with a good shake. What little got into the surface was gone with a bit of sunshine.
Bought this after a very cold night with another brand's "0C comfort" bag in 10C weather. Was in about 9C with this bag and actually thought the weather was way warmer considering how toasty I was in the bag! Stuffs really easily into the compression sack, no mucking around with folding and rolling to squeeze it back in. Packs down to a really small size. Also love the storage bag it comes with! Way easier to store the down properly while still being protected from dust and damage.

Warm and snug! Handy clips secure to mat nicely and drawn in almost feels like an enlarged sleeping bag! Drawstrings on the neckline and the push button stud at the top are great additions and help keep the warmth in!! Beaut design, awesome carry sack and weight! Definitly recommend!
Despite looking like I’m transporting a dead body, the Ultralight Top Quilt is incredibly warm, comfortable, easy to use and works perfectly for my DIDO job. The quilt is the -10 version and it got to ~ 1-2 degrees where I was and I was toasty as! Can’t wait to take it on more, non-work related, adventures. Can not recommend enough!
Toasty soft and snug! I love the addition of the elastic straps to tuck you in onto you sleeping pad. Would recommend.
So far I've only set this up in the spare room, brought with the ultralight sleeping mat. I'm amazed with how well the two products work so well with each other. Slipping off through the night was a big concern that's been quelled by the handy straps/clips it comes with. I'll be trying them out this coming weekend not worries about anything winter has the throw at me. Alton goods have done it again!
The madden test run for the new quilt & the Alton Goods -10 quilt crushed it! The best night sleep camping I’ve ever had. The quilt is beautifully made, handled the -1 conditions of Kosciusko/ Buckenderra with ease.
I’m a cold sleeper, and needed to wear some socks to keep my feet warm at 5c, This is my first quilt I’ve owned and I don’t think I can go back to a standard sleeping bag again.
This is the second one I have bought ( wife was jealous of mine) Super light and keeps me toasty warm

Camped at Greens lake Corop in VIC in winter toasty warm in my hammock set up, I now have to get another complete set up for my 13 year old son, and possibly my 24 year old son as well. It’s awesome kit.
I sleep under mine every night! So light and warm, I love it. I have used it down to -6 Celsius and was toasty warm. I no longer use a doona at home; too heavy. Once you've used the Alton Ultralight Top Quilt you can't go back. I wipe it with an antiseptic baby wipe and air it on the bed inside out and it is odour free and ready to snuggle into every night. The foot box is a good thing whether in bed or my Helsdon hammock in the bush. It is expensive but buy once, cry once. The quality is there and when the temp drops, your life literally depends on your kit so don't go cheap on your comfort and safety.
There are lighter quilts out there, and less bulky ones, but they cost a fortune. This quilt hits well at a good price point and includes a couple of decent features. It lofts well after being in the compression sack and easily meets the heat rating.

Just tested this quilt with 6 days on the Overland Track. Paired with the insulated sleeping mat and was OK in temperatures as low as 0C. Probably couldn't take it much colder and sleep comfortably. It has some great features that even the much more expensive Sea to Summit quilts don't have. The press stud to hold it snug arround your neck is great when it gets colder. The clips to attach it onto your mat are adjustable, doing these up tight I didn't get a single cold draft all night, even as you roll over.
Honestly its rare i leave a review but this quilt deserves it. I got it just before soending 16days riding the Munda Biddi Trail in July and it couldnt have been better, temps got to 5° on the volder nights and i was toasty as in minimal clothing. The should clasp makes a pretty amazing change in its ability to hold onto the heat, even wit the fact i forgot the mat straps.
I used to use a sleeping bag but have recently switched to trying the quilt sleep system. My initial test of this quilt has been positive. The quilt is well made with a lot of thought given to the end user. It kept me warm in the low single-digit temp and despite what other hikers said about the inconvenience setup, I found setting it up took no more time than the traditional sleeping bag and air mattress. I also bought the sleeping mat and mat cover to go with this quilt. It isn't the lightest sleeping system out there, but it isn't all that heavy either. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Although would love to have the option for other colours.

Was looking for a lightweight sleeping quilt that for those not-so-cold nights, and this is perfect. Quality is exceptional and the size is just right. Awesome.
Used during a trip to Wilpena Pound, stayed overnight in Cooinda camp. Night temperature got down below 6 degrees, had no problems with keeping warm. Yet another top product by a top company.
Love how light weight it is and how it matches with the inflatable mattress. If the option is there to purchase everything as a set, do it!

The Alton Quilt was great and the straps worked well with sleeping mat. I hadn’t used a quilt before however was very happy with the purchase and won’t go back to a conventional bag.
So light and the great quality one can always expect from Alton goods. So happy with it and look forward to many nights under the stars!
