I bought your walking poles for myself after trialling my partner’s and to hold up my Alton bug net tent. I’ve walked with them twice now and they really help on steep fire trails when carrying a heavy backpack. I’m 41 and can’t imagine not hiking with poles now. These are lightweight and easy to pop in the side of a backpack when on the train but sturdy and comfortable to use.
The failure occurred in the lower segment at the base of the threaded section of the collet screw. The clean shear was sudden while arresting a slip on the pea gravel underfoot . The poles to that point were going great, light and comfortable in hand just couldn’t face the demand of preventing a fall.

As you can see by the picture there is only one pole, my big gorilla like self is rather hard on gear and the poor Alton pole didn’t stand up unfortunately, lightweight yes robust kinda, the twist lock system I found you’d often slip when using the pole to climb and in decent, these are small issues and most likely user error! If you’re day walking and not bush bashing I recommend these poles!

Decent enough poles for a good price and very light. Had one break at the adjuster and it was promptly replaced by Alton. Overall build quality feels pretty cheap wouldn’t buy them again.

These hiking poles gave me the confidence I needed across rocky uneven tracks, without weighing me down! They were ultralight and hung off the top if my small backpack when I didnt need them. So glad I used them for stability, and my knees and ankles didnt get sore.
Only used on 2 hikes and it snapped in half with minimal use. The inside metal nut thing sheared off. The outside might be well made but the inner bits and bobs are cheap poor quality. Disappointed!!! The girls hiking with me all were surprised at how easily it happened with minimal use - I’m only 51 kilos so don’t put much stress on the sticks.
I am yet to use the poles. Received them yesterday, super happy with the product and the speed of the shipment. Great work team! Will send you some photos from the Camino de Santiago when the poles are in action:)
Got this pole for my husband. He loves them. I also love them and he asked me to order another two pair soon for me and our daughter.
