These socks are the most comfortable socks I’ve ever had! I’m sure the Mrs would tell you how sick she is of hearing about socks but they’re just that good. They don’t disappoint. Comfy. Warm. No blisters. I wear them everyday.

Mud everywhere is unpleasant at the best of times. Drying out gear on tour is challenging at the best of times... during our big wet here. High quality merino socks are an absolute blessing. Look after your feet. And last years.. Thanks for the best gear, Alton.
Great fit and feel doesnt itch meaning great quality wool. Being wool didnt shrink in a hot wash! Also doesnt make that annoying grove at the top of the sock on your leg that itches. Tall enough to use with work boots with no sagging.
The hiking socks by Alton are very nice, I find they are very comfortable and stay up the whole day.

Initially I wasn’t sure. I’m a US8.5-9 and the socks sizing is 4-7.5 and 8-13 so I was bang in the middle. I ordered M/L and when I tried it on they were a bit big for my liking. Gave them a good run on a 3 day 2 night snow hike up Mt bogong and they were great. Comfy, no blisters, didn’t notice my sizing issue, odour when I took them off but dissipates instantly and dries quickly. Toes were icy when stood still in -4 to 0°c in snow (I expected that) but when I was hiking, they were perfect. They’re not super warm laze around snow camp socks (unless you’re in a lot milder temps, I’d say 10+°c) but they are good for hikingI Would recommend. Only reason for 4 stars is I still wish there was an inbetween size like a 6-10 size so it would be more perfectly fitted for hiking. It deserves a 4.5star if I could.

Great fit , comfortable, light and breathable. Only negative is that i bought these because they were advertised as blisterfree but got blisters on my first small hike wearing them.

Did love them. But disappoint after less than a year they have worn through.
Great fitting socks both female and male sizes. Wore them hiking in Kosciusko wilderness for a week and they look brand new. No pilling or rubbing. Warm and lovely snug fit.

Great socks. I tried them out on an overnight trek and they were very comfortable, even when wet.
I used them 3 times and have a hole in the heel already, for socks this expensive I would expect them to last longer than this.
These mid-weight merino socks are idea for use in a range of shoes, from low cut runners, going out shoes, to my larger hiking boots. Very comfortable and fit well. They are new, although I anticipate them to be both long lasting and often used.

These socks are very small. I am a mens size 10 and found them very tight on my feet to the point where they were uncomfortable after wearing them for a while. I wouldnt reccommend them for anyone over a size 9. Im hoping they will stretch a little over time. The quality looks ok but too early to tell how long they will last.
These socks are excellent to put in your feet (or hands). Nice form and function for the warmer weather.

No words can describe how amazing and comfortable these socks are. Been wearing them as work socks and to my surprised my feet no sweat. I bought 15 pairs and have them to all my family and friends. I’ve seen them on my friends feet at a hiking day and weather was reasonably warm. No complaints. My friend’s first word to me was ‘godsend’. Thanks Alton.
Reasonable….feels more like a cheaper polyester sock on your foot so will be hard wearing. Fit is pretty good, plenty of elastic in upper so won’t be falling down in a hurry however It’s well short of a proper merino sock like Bridgedale, icebreaker etc… Alton is cheaper for a reason.
Fantastic quality that I've come to expect from Alton, but compared with my other socks I wouldn't really call these 'midweight' - they're much closer to 'lightweight' I think.
