Having now used the sleeping pad inside on the hard floor over Christmas, in a bivvy bag and in the Alton 2p tent during a cold and windy morning I feel confident in saying this is the best sleeping mat/pad I’ve had. Yes it takes up a little more room than a closed cell pad but less than a ‘self inflating’ pad and it is more comfortable and warmer than both. It held all the air I put in over a four day period without needing a top up even once. The pad is warm and comfortable even at my 103kg body weight I didn’t touch the ground through it. Highly recommend this set. The pillow and sheet just really top off the mat making a fantastic sleeping arrangement.
My pack arrived today and set it up at home. Immediately impressed by the quality of all of the items in the pack. Would recommend. 👌Can't wait to use camping.
I was initially skeptical because all the camping equipment I've purchased in the past has failed. Most of the items I bought were at a moderate price point, so I understand that you often get what you pay for.
However, Alton has changed my perspective. Their high-end gear comes at a very reasonable price, and the quality is outstanding. I am particularly impressed with the inflatable floor mat; it's amazing! For the first time, I've had a mat that I needed to release air during the night instead of needing to pump up again.
Since purchasing this gear, I’ve been camping several times, and I suspect that the increase in walk-in sales at the Northside branch in the last few months is thanks to my recommendations! It’s such a relief to not feel disappointed or experience buyer's remorse. Great job, Alton keep up the excellent work!

Got to test it out recently for a couple of nights camping down the south coast. Didn't lose any pressure and stayed nice and warm. Not too noisy either

This turned out to be a really good bit of kit. Every thing works so well together. The mat was comfortable enough that I could sleep on my side with my hip not quite touching the ground, magic. The fitted sheet won me over when I found I could roll over and not have everything bunch up under me. To start with I thought the pillow was to small but when it's held in place by the sheet it really did work well. Everything packs up small in it's own little stuff sack and is built really good. It has become my #1 sleep system.
The R4 mattress, fitted sheet and pillow, without a doubt is the most comfortable set I’ve ever used, my body doesn’t touch the ground even laying on my side, the matteress has no noise and the fitted sheet compliments it so well, high recommend the complete set.
Fantastic mat. The fitted sheet is also a great idea, that keeps the pillow in place. It is so light and comfortable, and packs so compactly. Fantastic gear, worth every cent!

Just completed the cape to cape - 6 nights sleeping with this sleep system and no complaints ! Slept so well. It’s super comfy, and not noisy. The pillow is actually also comfy and I’m very picky with pillows normally. Just get it you won’t be disappointed. Did not deflate, did not feel any cold through the mat either with 10 degree nights
