Nanopore™ Technology

Alton’s All-Weather Jacket is made with Nanopore™ technology. Unlike traditional waterproof materials that struggle to balance waterproofing with breathability or rely on harsh DWR coatings to repel water, the Nanopore™ membrane’s nanoscopic 3D structure blocks water molecules while allowing air and vapour to pass through the fabric. As a result, our All-Weather Men’s Jacket is incredibly breathable, lightweight, and comfortable, yet achieves advanced level 20,000 mm waterproof protection.

Engineered for high-output activities in challenging conditions, the All-Weather Jacket offers unmatched breathability and protection for scenarios where you’re pushing hard. With an extreme 20,000 g/m2/24hr breathability rating, the fabric actively combats condensation build up to keep you dry from the inside out. During periods of exertion, the low-profile side zips can be undone for rapid heat dispersion.

Responsible Performance Innovation

Using our patented breathable-waterproof nanospun 3-layer shell fabric technology, Nanopore™, we’ve been able to create a high-performance All-Weather Jacket without the use of toxic chemical solvents and harmful PFCs. Not only does this fabric technology mean our Jacket has a lower environmental impact over its lifespan, it actually performs better in high-exertion scenarios in harsh weather. 

Intentional Design Process

We spent months refining every detail of our All Weather Jacket. Testing, tweaking, and pushing it to the limit in real-world conditions. From fit and articulation, to zipper placement and ventilation, every element and feature has been purpose-built for flawless performance and protection when it matters the most. Featuring a hip-length cut, dual hand pockets with YKK™ AquaGuard® zippers, and an adjustable hood with a built-in brim stabiliser for better rain coverage, our design prioritises the simple details that minimise distractions, rather than adding them.
