Our Ultralight Hammock is intended for use as a single-person hammock. It measures 280 cm long and is 146 cm wide at the widest point and has a maximum weight capacity of 300kg.
That said, it can definitely accommodate two people sitting or lounging in the hammock, provided that their combined weight doesn’t exceed 300kgs.

For hammock camping, we generally recommend using a hammock that is around 60-90 cm longer than you are tall. Our Ultralight Hammock is 280cm long, so it can comfortably accommodate people up to about 200cm tall.

Yes, you can sleep in a camping hammock on your side, although it might take a bit of trial and error to find the most comfortable position for you.

Without proper insulation, the cold can be more noticeable in a hammock. This is because there is more airflow around your body, which draws the heat away and leaves you feeling chilly.

Purchased one for myself a year ago, spent a lot of time in it under a shady tree on a 4 day camping trip. The material is strong yet extremely breathable. The straps are extremely versatile as you can set this hammock up as a swinging seat or stretched out for full comfort. It lives in my car full time and comes out at any chance it gets. Since then, I have purchased another as a gift for a friend (pictured) and he obviously loves it. His name is Tom.

This is an excellent hammock. I have tried a few brands and this is, by far my favourite. I use it with the standard size mat under me and it keeps me very warm.

Great product . Love my hammock and mosquito net . I bought the extra stuff sack so I didn’t have to separate them to pack it up . Makes life so much easier to set up next time . Great customer service when I got my first hammock it had 2 very small holes I. It . Could have easily lived with them but I asked if this would affect the material . Alton customer service classed them as a fault in the product and replaced it no question . Also love the light weight storage bags and 2 mm dyneema cord . Sorry about the tarp it’s not an Alton one but I am seriously thinking about replacing it with the Alton Tarp . More picket money to be spent on Alton gear . I talk this gear up to all my mates
The Alton hammock, far out, what is there to say? I'm 130kg +/- 6'5 and this hammock holds me comfortably, weighs nothing and sets up in a flash. 11/10 would highly recommend

I’ve recently been buying a few Alton products and have been putting the ultralight hammock to good use! I’m a trail and track builder so often work away from any comfort however not anymore with this hammock. I can put it up or take it down in a couple of minutes. I actually get some rest of my lunch breaks now. I’m about to head away for a weekend and usually I’d take my swag but I’m now taking the hammock for the shear fact it’s so small and light. Can’t wait to spend a couple of nights in it.

Only new to hammock camping but I feel I won’t be going back to the tent anytime soon. There is a leaning curve with this setup but a rewarding one at the same time. Alton were super quick in delivery and the quality smacks you in the face. Happy hammocking

Absolutely perfect! Ultralight as stated at barely 340g! Compact and took next to no room in my backpack. Easy to repack into double end opening stuff sack-thoughtful and creative boys! Comfy , not restrictive and with me at 5'11" a good fit. Felt really strong and schmick quality. Definitely the new go to sleep system on the fishing hikes. Highly recommend.
What a wicked Hammock! Rocking up to a crag, the first thing I do is set this up so inbetween belayng and climbing I have a place to chill. Everyone else loves it so much I dont usually get to sit in it because they are all subbing in and out.

I love this hammock! Used it on a recent trip to Merimbula with a portable hammock stand. Was the perfect way to relax and unwind.
When I was much younger (before husband, kids, farm etc) I loved hiking and bush camping and now the kids are grown up and chasing their own adventures, it's time for me to get back into it. sleeping on the ground is not as easy as it was now that my joints are a little more worn. The hammock is the perfect answer for me! It is so comfortable and I have such a great sleep under the stars without all the aching joints in the morning. The straps are a good length to wrap around two trees and still have plenty to spare. Plus the hammock is comfy, soft and strong material. Extremely pleased with the purchase.
