Since we last spoke, some exciting things have happened at Alton Goods
Before giving you a progress update, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for all of the emails, text messages and phone calls I received in response to my first email. I am incredibly grateful for the support and look forward to sharing this journey with all of you.
So what have we been up to ....
Markets
We attended The Village Markets at Burleigh Heads. This was our first experience interacting with customers face-to-face and the day was a huge success. We enjoyed it so much that we will be returning this weekend (Sunday 7 October) for a Special Edition of The Village Markets to celebrate their 10th Birthday!

Sydney Trip
We flew down to Sydney for our first business trip. During the four days we:
- attended the Sydney Camping and Outdoor Expo
- visited one of our Sydney stockists - Keel Surf & Supply
- snuck away for a quick micro-adventure to Royal National Park
- caught up with one of our Instagram followers @louisraymo for a photo-shoot had an intense brainstorming session with one of our business mentors

New Stockists
As part of our commitment to supporting independent Australian retailers, we are super proud to have delivered wholesale orders to two new stockists. Both of these stores embody the Alton Goods mission through their curated collections of high-quality products.

Promotions
In response to some market research we conducted a few months ago, we have just activated two new promotions for our customers:
- Staff Christmas Gifts - This festive season we are offering generous discounts on hammock orders for businesses who want to give their staff the gift of relaxation. We see it as a fun alternative to the standard movie ticket/gift voucher approach.
- Hammock & Straps Combo - We are now offering a combination deal which includes a Hammock and a set of Sleep Straps for JUST $99 (standard price $120).
