I was doing some archaeological work in Malta a few weeks ago and decided the Alton Hammock and straps were the perfect set up to rests amongst the pomegranate grove nearby. The shade of the pomegranates gave welcome relief from the 35-45 degree temperatures experienced over the two weeks. I will definitely consider packing this again for local and overseas work. If you are interested in what we were doing over there check out the Maltese media: https://www.tvm.com.mt/en/news/heritage-malta-to-study-fields-close-to-domus-romana/. Sorry I couldn't get the hammock on Maltese TV.
LOVE this hammock! So does the midge, necessitating we buy a second one. Great for camping, picnics in the park, even hanging it off the hill’s hoist in the back yard. Packs down to nothing, super easy to hang with the sleep straps. Think I’ve got next year’s Xmas list sorted.
This is the first hammock that I've owned, and I thought it was going to take a bit to get it set up. I was wrong! It literally took me 60 seconds from opening up the bags to having it sitting pretty. Incredibly comfortable and fits into my hiking bag well. Highly recommend and this will definitely be coming on hikes with me in future!
I bought this hammock for my husband and he LOVES it. Everyone who's seen it has also loved it. I bought it with the straps and it's so easy to put up and down which is really half the battle with a hammock. It's so compact and light that my husband has been carrying it around it in his backpack and takes every opportunity to use it.
Absolutely love my Alton Goods Hammock and Straps!!! They come with me on every holiday. Quality and design have exceeded my expectations in every way, right down to the very last detail. Customer service from Sam and the team was exceptional! Love the hammock and the brand so much that I’ve eneded up buying them as gifts for the whole family.
Absolutely love the hammock and straps! It's been 3 years since first purchasing and the product has held up extremely well despite battling the elements. It's the ultimate lightweight outdoor sleeping kit and has done absolute wonders for my lower back pain by reducing the pressure points.
So 10/10 for comfort, versatility and build quality!
Excellent hammock, super lightweight and easy to set up. The fabric also breathes pretty well so you won't get sweaty
Use it all the time on the weekend. Great to just relax and read a book.
Everything you want in a hammock. Lightweight. Easy to set up and pack down. Excellent customer service. I’ve noticed I pack this every time we travel. A must have for adventure seekers or even your balcony or in your backyard.
Small, durable, light weight! Perfect for those hiking trips, comes in a range of colours, sleeping in style
Took my Hammock to Malta this year so I had somewhere to get out of the sun during archaeological fieldwork. Set the hammock up amongst the pomegranate grove that will soon be removed as we extend our excavation trenches into new areas. My colleagues laughed at first, but then recognised how comfortable I was compared to sitting on the rough ground. Will definitely keep the hammock amongst my remote working field kit.
My first night out in the hammock was exceptional. I have gone back to the hammock after many years sleeping on the floor and found I had one of the best night sleeps. The hammock does require a mattress or underquilt in cooler weather, but being on the larger size, I found the hammock perfectly suited for myself. It is easy to set up and I recommend getting the tree straps as well.
Done loads of trips with mates never failed me feels amazing to jump in after a hike of a trip !
Great communication and fast shipping. Will definitely recommend to friends
Awesome hammock. Have used on two trips in far nth Queensland, and use all the time at home :) excellent quality.
Perfect Piece of Kit! I really love my new alton goods hammock and in particular love the versatility of the sleep straps. Highly recommended for both everyday hammocking and out bush camping.
Excellent product! Would recommend to anyone interested in getting outdoors!
Super fast service time, great product, had the opportunity to use it this week and it's met all my expectations.
As someone who does a lot of hammock camping in some remote wilderness areas, having equipment that is strong, reliable, lightweight and easily packable is extremely important. My Alton Goods hammock is just that. Easily one of my favourite pieces of kit.
